An Invitation to EMSS Members’ CME Night
Has the plain X-ray film become obsolete in endocrinology?
by Prof Raja C. Rajasoorya
Modern diagnostics in endocrinology has seen vast improvements in endocrine diagnosis. This has particularly been aided by the refinements in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, interventional radiology and bone densitometry amongst others. The speaker will share with the audience a personal collection and stories of patients with simple radiological plain films collected over more than 30 years which were helpful in the diagnostic process. The speaker will argue a case for a clinical endocrinologist not to lose track of reading and interpreting simple plain films in as part of his diagnostic armamentarium.
